Automatic Gates and Barriers PSA 80:2025 Powered Gates Standard

The new Automatic Gates and Barriers PSA-80-2025-Powered-Gates-Standard will be effective from 31^stOctober 2025.

Anyone who wishes to provide a service for Powered Gates and Barriers will have to meet the requirements of a new standard PSA 80:2025 with effect from 31^stOctober 2025.

• All existing contractors who currently provide a Powered Gates service and who meet the requirements of PSA74:2019 must also meet the requirements of PSA80:2025 on the renewal of their licence.
• The provision of Powered Gates Services is covered by the ‘Installer of Security Equipment  – Access Control’ category of PSA Licence.
• Any contractor who installs, services, maintains or repairs Powered Gates on or after 31^st October 2025, must meet the requirements of PSA80:2025 and subsequently obtain certification to PSA 80:2025 in order to maintain their Installer of Security Equipment (Access Control) Licence.
